Project Update

The project developed from the need to refurbish the Welfare Hall as one of Rossington assets which through under funding and neglect in the past was deteriorating rapidly. To halt this decline and offer the Rossington Miners Welfare Scheme the opportunity for sustainability the Rossington Development Trust successfully applied for and received £56,280.00 to develop this asset. The refurbishment was started physically at the start of February and completed by the end of March.

The Rossington Miners Welfare Conference Suite provided the ideal venue for the Presentation Ceremony of successful candidates from the Rossington Welfare and Learning Centre. The Neighbourhood Renewal Fund unit hired the Conference Suite for its funding seminar. The facility continues to be used for all types of community activity and bookings for this facility is looking healthy.
