Work Completed

The Rossington Miners Welfare New Community Pavilion was given practical completion on 12th August 2005 when the keys for this new facility were handed over to the Rossington Miners Welfare Scheme. This new facility has been widely accepted and used by the community in particularly the sporting sections of the Rossington Miners Welfare Scheme. The completion coincided nicely with the start of the football and rugby season allowing all age groups within these sections to take full advantage of these first class facilities. Now we are entering the summer period and time for the bowls and cricket section to enjoy these amenities.

Not only do the sporting sections from Rossington but the visiting teams from around the area can make full use of this amenity as they challenge for their respective places within the relevant local sports leagues. Junior sides play a large part in Rossington with these type of facilities it will encourage more young people to engage with sporting activities.
