Project Aim

Incubation centre for Community and Social Enterprises to provide managed workspace and permanent office facilities for RDT.

Project Update

Objective 1 have now accepted with an Offer Letter.

Re-appraisal has now been submitted to DMBC SRB 1st September 2006.

Community Enterprise

As the project draws hopefully nearer achieving its match funding we are seeking entrepreneurs, volunteers and people with various skills to develop community enterprises. There has already been interest shown for enterprises in security, asset maintenance, sewing manufacturing, and a community cafe. Community enterprises can also be high-tech businesses that develop peoples' skills and opportunities. Any of the above are development possibilities that could lead to job opportunities for managers, supervisors, and operatives.

Friends of Holmescarr School

The 'Friends of Holmescarr', with the support of the Development Trust, continue their magnificent work in enabling the former Holmescarr school premises to adapt to the new circumstances and organise funding raising events to improve the stature of the building to the community.
